Citrine is a yellow to golden-brown stone with a warm, sunny appearance. Its cheerful colour adds brightness to any mix of stones. Citrine is a member of the quartz family. It forms as a result of volcanic processes creating amethyst, which when exposed to great heat turns all shades of orange, becoming citrine.
